BAKBAKAN ’09 NAT’L ELIMS RESUME AT MAKATI COLISEUM TODAY

With 1,698 entries already participated as of November 7, the 2009 Bakbakan 10-Stag National Derby moves closer to breaking its record number of entries last year as the national eliminations continues at the Makati Coliseum today with another 60 entries seeing action.

Bakbakan 2009 is hosted by the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders and co-presented by Thunderbird Ganador Max. A total of 90 exciting fights are lined-up which will start at 2:00 p.m.

Simultaneously having their preliminaries today is the Group of Palawan Gamefowl Breeders, Inc. at the Royal Cockpit in Aborlan, Palawan.

The last two national elims will also be held in Makati Coliseum on Nov. 12 & 16. Hostilities move to Araneta Coliseum on Nov. 17 & 19 for the start of the national semis. To mix out on the 17th are those who fought in the elims at Makati Col. last October 26 plus the qualifiers from the Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association and the Bulacan Gamefowl Breeders Association.

Meanwhile, Thunderbird Winning Team member Jesry Palmares, regarded as the Big-Banger Breeder is gearing up for another blockbuster performance after scoring 6 wins out of 6 matches in the Panay Gamefowl Breeders Association’s Bakbakan elims. It should be recalled that the former Mayor of Passi City bagged solo championship and solo runner-up in the Manny Pacquiao Big Event 5-Cocker in Cebu, where Jesry posted 9 wins and 1 draw in 10 fights.
